The Reform Jewish community has a long history of generosity when natural disasters devastate communities around the world. Your generosity at this critical time enables us to play a role in recovery efforts and bring healing and hope to those whose lives have been affected. Donations to the Union for Reform Judaism Haiti Relief Fund can be made on-line at www.urj.org or by check (note: Haiti Relief in the memo section) to:

MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger has a long-standing dedication to health services and agricultural development in Haiti. Already, one of their long-time partners is on its way with a team of first responders. Your donation will provide lifesaving medical care and emergency food relief. Looking ahead, Mazon pledges to rebuild farming and nutrition programs and keep Haitians healthy after emergency teams have left. This long-term strategy has worked in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and it will work in Haiti. Mazon will continue to monitor events on the ground, and post updates on MAZON.org as more information comes in. Donate at: http://mazon.org/go/helphaiti. Haiti needs our help NOW.
Finally, our neighbors and friends at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church have decade long partnership with an organization in Haiti, Beyond Borders. Make your check to MLRT, (note Beyond Borders in the memo) and we will forward them to BMPC and Beyond Borders. If you have medical skills, BMPC's relationship with Beyond Borders may be able to connect you to a group going to Haiti. For more information: Please contact Revs. Sherri Hausser and Susan Sytsma Bratt, 610-525-2821. For more information about BMPC’s Partner organization visit www.beyondborder.net.
Please continue to pray for: comfort for those who have lost loved ones, wisdom for the international aide and development community, and strength for those who have lost everything.
