Main Line Reform Temple School for Early Childhood Education is dedicated to the social, emotional and cognitive growth and development of young children in a Jewish environment. Our program incorporates Jewish values and traditions and encourages children, along with their families to consciously develop a Jewish identity and lifestyle.
|
We provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum which includes innovative hands on experiences that in turn enhance the child's social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. Our appropriate curriculum promotes a balance between planned experiences that help children move toward defined goals and the experiences that emerge from children's interests and unexpected events that are incorporated into the program in ways that promote growth in key areas. We give the children experiences in all domains; intellectual, physical, social/emotional and language. Our curriculum is closely aligned with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards.
Jewish culture and tradition is integrated throughout the curriculum. Holidays are taught and celebrated on the children's level. Weekly school-wide Shabbat celebrations in the Morganroth family Sanctuary are the highlight of the week. Rabbi Straus, Rabbi Franzel and Cantor Portnoy are always on hand to show the children the beauty and spirituality of this very important service.
