KERRY & DAVE HEPPEN
Kerry & Dave joined Main Line Reform Temple in 2006 and have both been highly active at the Temple and held various leadership and committee positions ever since! They have two children, Sarah and Josh. Both kids are ECE and Religious School graduates, celebrated their B’nai Mitzvah at MLRT, and count themselves as Camp Harlam alumni.
Kerry is very involved in the Tikkun Olam Network and always participates as a project leader in our congregation’s MLK Day of Service. Kerry is an active member of the Sisterhood Choir and she has served on various music committees, including our recent Music Director Search Committee, the annual Come In From The Cold Curtis Concert Committee, and the Andy Heller Retirement Celebration. In addition to her congregational work, Kerry served as the former VP, Advancement of Judaism, for MLRT Sisterhood. Kerry is a social worker who loves singing, swimming, yoga, and cats.
Dave has been an active member of our Board of Trustees since 2017 and sat on the Executive Board from 2018-23 as a Vice President. He chaired the Covid-19 Task Force and co-chaired the Staff Relations Committee from 2018-2023. He was a member of the Religious Practices Committee from 2016-2019. Dave worked tirelessly on the Rabbi Search Committees to bring both Rabbi Kleinman and Rabbi Mollo to Main Line Reform Temple. He also served on the 2024 Nominating Committee. Dave is an actuary who enjoys hiking, tennis, poker and reading in his spare time.
JENNIE & SAM NEMROFF
Together, Jennie and Sam have been members of MLRT since 1995 and their three grown children, Stephen, Andrew, and Daniel, all attended the MLRT ECE and became B’nai Mitzvah at MLRT.
Jennie’s involvement began after chairing numerous committees in the Nursery School (now known as ECE), culminating in chairing the ECE Committee, which led to her first nomination to the Board of Trustees. Many terms on the Board of Trustees followed. She also served on the Religious School Committee and the Religious School Director Search Committee, chaired the Junior Jammers, Memorials and Dedications, and Leadership, and was a driving force in the 2012 Capital Campaign fundraising. Jennie served on the Membership Committee and on the Nominating Committee on many occasions. She sat on the Sisterhood Board and was an officer on the Sisterhood Executive Board. Jennie is a full-time Lower School Nurse at Friends’ Central School, where she has worked for the past 20 years.
Sam has served on the Budget Committee, co-chairing it for two years, and the Building & Grounds Committee for over two decades, which he currently co-chairs. He also co-chaired the Building Task Force Committee for the 2002 Capital Campaign, served on an Executive Director Search Committee, the Bylaws Committee, the Come In From The Cold Curtis Concert Committee, and recently became the Commissioner of the MLRT Basketball League. He is currently serving his fourth term on the MLRT Board of Trustees. Sam has been self-employed for over 25 years as a Real Estate Developer and Construction Manager.
