Early Childhood Education

At MLRT School for ECE, our days are filled with exploring, discovery, and fun! We pride ourselves on being a welcoming and inclusive school environment, with a diverse array of families that come in all shapes, sizes, and configurations. While we do not staff specialized learning support, we welcome and are happy to collaborate with families who will need to coordinate therapeutic services for their child during the day, either privately or through county agencies. We offer opportunities throughout the school year for the whole family to get involved and get to know each other while supporting our school community.

Our staff strives to nurture the creativity and the natural delight in learning that every child possesses. We provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole. Your child’s Jewish education is given strong roots at MLRT School for ECE.

Sensory, motor, perceptual, and language skills are introduced through materials and activities that are both child-centered and teacher-directed. Work that emphasizes the process rather than the product is built into the curriculum, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride. Based on the theory that children learn through play, classroom routines encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation, and reinforcement through repetition. Schedules are designed which balance structure and free choice, as well as active and quiet times.

Jewish culture and tradition are integrated throughout the curriculum. Holidays are taught and celebrated on the children’s level.

We are so lucky that our clergy is intimately involved with our school and are always on hand to enhance and guide our Jewish experiences and the beauty of Judaism.
