Sisterhood Opening Event

Join us for a night of Middle Eastern food, learn about Mizrahi culture, and enjoy a lesson/ performance from Belly Dance instructor, Oreet Schwartz
Sisterhood is hosting a virtual Middle Eastern Extravaganza! This is a fun night with your sisters, complete with dinner and belly dancing (performance, as well as lesson) with local expert Oreet Schwartz.
Oreet has over 20 years of experience in fitness and dance. She grew up with Yemeni folk and Oriental dance and has a degree in Contemporary Dance from SUNY College at Brockport. Oreet has been featured on NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN, among other outlets, and has been named Belly Dancer of the Year, and Middle Eastern Dance Champion of North America. She’s led packed classes worldwide and has worked with thousands of men and women to realize their fitness potential.
Most importantly, the opening is a chance to reconnect with old friends as well as meet new “sisters.” We will share a great Middle Eastern meal together, catered by Nana’s Kitchen, and reconnect with friends. We plan to meet in person outside at MLRT but that is dependent on the weather. If there is inclement weather, the program will go virtual with take-home boxed dinners (pick-up will be during the day of October 7).
Space is limited and registration/$36 payment is required; sign up online at mlrt.org/sisterhood
