Jewish Humor can be serious. It mocks everything, yet also affirms tradition and helps us understand the difference between the holy and the profane. Come have a laugh with Rabbi Steinbrink!

Hassel Adult Education Lecture: Rabbi Richard Steinbrink – Jewish Humor

Sunday, June 13 at 10:00 am on Zoom

Jewish Humor can be serious. It mocks everything, yet at the same time it affirms tradition and helps us understand the difference between the holy and the profane.

Tell a Jew a joke and before you can finish it, he’s heard it before, you’re not telling it right, and he delivers the punch line before you can say it! Come have a laugh!

Rabbi Richard Steinbrink is a native of Brooklyn and has held pulpits in NJ, St. Louis, Newburgh, NY, and at Rodeph Shalom in Philadelphia. He has been President of the Delaware Valley Association of Reform Rabbis, President of the National Association of Retired Reform Rabbis, and served for 21 years as part-time Chaplain at Jefferson Hospital.
